Meet your teacher…

Katie, Gentle Flow Yoga teacher at Om Yoga Collective

Hello lovely soul — I’m Katie, founder of Om Yoga Collective and the heart behind Gentle Yoga in Nundah. It’s so special to connect with you.

After a lifetime of giving to everyone else, it’s easy to feel depleted — like you’ve lost touch with your own needs, your body, and your inner light. I created Gentle Flow Yoga as a genuine pause — a rare and precious space where you can rest, soften, and gently reconnect with yourself.

This isn’t about striving or performing. It’s about remembering that you are already enough. That you are worthy of taking up space. That your feelings are valid, your softness is powerful, and you deserve to be held — just as you are.

Through grounding movement, mindful breath, and moments of stillness, each class becomes a quiet return to wholeness. Whether you’re new to yoga or returning home to your mat, my intention is to support you in finding inner harmony — one breath, one moment, one practice at a time.

I can’t wait to welcome you.

FAQs

Are these classes suitable for beginners?

Yes! These yoga classes are designed to be gentle and accessible for all levels, including beginners. No prior experience is needed.

Are your classes suitable for pregnancy or postpartum?

Yes, absolutely. Both my Yin Yoga and Gentle Flow Yoga classes are slow, gentle, and soulfully paced — making them suitable for most people during pregnancy and the postpartum period.

I offer variations and supportive options throughout each class, and you're always encouraged to listen to your body and move in a way that feels right for you. That said, I do recommend checking in with your healthcare provider before attending, especially if you're in your first trimester or recovering from birth.

If you are pregnant or postpartum, feel free to reach out and let me know ahead of time — I’ll be sure to offer any additional modifications to ensure you feel comfortable, supported, and safe throughout your practice.

You are always welcome — just as you are.

What happens if I miss a class or need to cancel?

As the classes are part of a set series, they are non-refundable. However, if you have extenuating circumstances, please reach out to me at katie@omyogacollective.com.au and I’ll do my best to accommodate you.

What do I need to bring?

You only need to bring your own mat. All other props, such as bolsters, blocks, blankets and straps will be provided.
